In 1986, we at SMOKE-OUT, developed a high tech pressure automatic cleaning concentrate for cleaning turn out gear called SMOKE-OUT. We feel that our product is really needed to increase the safety of our fire fighters. SMOKE-OUT removes the hydrocarbon build up on the material. It removes dirt, perspiration and grime. It helps to increase the useful life of the garment. SMOKE-OUT increases the visibility of the fire fighter and increases his safety by bringing the turn out gear back to NFPA standard. It has been test by US Testing Laboratory and has been found to exceed NFPA standard on flammability, wear and tear of the fabric and contains 0% toxicity.

 

NFPA 1851, Standard on Selection, Care and Maintenance of Structural Fire Fighting Protective Ensembles 2001 Edition, came out and it states that fire fighters will have routine cleanings after each use and a minimum of two times a year have advance cleanings on their turn out gear.  SMOKE-OUT can be sprayed on and used to clean the gear after use.  SMOKE-OUT is also usable in the washer extractor systems.  It gives you the additional cleaning power the high speed extractor systems required.
